The prompt
Rebuild and modernize this website: [{CURRENT_WEBSITE_URL}]
You are acting as a senior brand strategist, conversion copywriter, and web designer in one. Before designing anything, analyze the current site and infer everything you need. Do not ask me questions — investigate, decide, and build.
Phase 1 — Analyze the existing site and determine:
What this business is: industry, offerings, service area or market, and who the ideal customer clearly is based on the content.
The primary conversion goal: identify the single most valuable action a visitor can take for this business type (booking, quote request, reservation, purchase, call). If the current site buries or lacks a clear goal, choose the correct one for this industry and make it central.
Brand energy and tone: read the existing copy, imagery, and market position. Decide what this brand should feel like to win in its category — not just what the old site feels like. A dated site for a premium business should be upgraded to premium, not faithfully reproduced.
The differentiator: find what this business does that competitors don't (or the strongest implied advantage) and make it the backbone of the messaging.
Color direction: extract the existing brand colors if a real brand identity exists (logo colors, consistent accents). If the current palette is weak, generic, or dated, design a superior palette appropriate to the industry and audience — keep only what carries brand equity (usually the logo color).
Phase 2 — Build the upgraded site using these standards:
Preserve substance, upgrade everything else. Carry over the real business information, services, and offerings. Rewrite all copy to be benefit-driven, scannable, and conversion-focused. Cut filler.
Hero that sells in 3 seconds. Headline states the core customer benefit, not the business name. Subheadline handles the "how." One dominant CTA for the conversion goal you identified, repeated at logical points down the page. CTA copy is action + outcome — never "Submit" or "Learn More."
Typography. Choose a modern, high-legibility pairing that matches the brand energy you determined: a distinctive display font for headlines (Inter Tight, Sora, Fraunces, Space Grotesk, or similar) with a clean body font (Inter, DM Sans, Source Sans 3). Strong hierarchy, body 16–18px minimum, line height 1.6+.
Color. Professional palette of no more than 4 colors built from your Phase 1 color direction. One saturated accent reserved exclusively for CTAs. Neutrals for backgrounds. WCAG AA contrast throughout.
Layout & spacing. Mobile-first, fully responsive. Generous whitespace, max content width ~1200px, subtle alternating section backgrounds, sticky header with minimal nav and a persistent CTA button.
Trust & social proof. Pull any real testimonials, reviews, credentials, years in business, or client counts from the existing site. Where the site has none, create realistic industry-appropriate placeholders clearly written as examples. First trust element lands immediately after the hero.
Conversion architecture. Hero → Problem/benefit statement → Services as visual cards with icons → Social proof → About/why-us → Final CTA section with value framing → Footer. Include a contact form (name, email, phone, message) with a success state.
Marketing polish. Write a meta title and description targeting the strongest local/industry keyword you identified. Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy. Subtle scroll animations — tasteful and fast. Optimize for perceived speed.
Imagery. High-quality relevant stock placeholders matching the brand energy. Real-photo style over abstract graphics for service businesses.
Footer. Carry over the business name, phone, email, address, hours, and social links exactly as they exist on the current site. Add a final micro-CTA.
Phase 3 — Brief me. After building, give me a short summary of the decisions you made: the audience you identified, the conversion goal you chose, the brand energy, the palette, and the differentiator you built the messaging around — so I can review your reasoning at a glance.
Make confident, best-practice decisions on everything. Deliver a complete, polished, production-ready site.
